A Productive Day

Today has been a very productive day for me. This morning I finished mowing the backyard while the kids played outside in the sandbox. And this afternoon while doing laundry, I finished two layouts. Pretty good, huh?

I used this sketch for both layouts...
One-Page Sketch #11 by Allison Davis for Sketch Support

Here is the first layout, the pictures are from a few years ago when Lily was playing outside.

Supply List: Patterned Paper, Element Stickers, Letter Stickers (yellow): Basic Grey (Origins Collection); Pearl: Little Yellow Bicycle; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Pop Dots by EK Success;  Border Punch: EK Success; Chipboard Letters: American Crafts; Sketch: One-Page Sketch #11 by Allison Davis for Sketch Support

Here's a detailed view of the element stickers I layered with pop dots.

The next layout is also for Lily's book. Last year we went to the Minnesota Zoo to see the Baby Farm Animals exhibit. We were able to pet and feed the goats. The kids loved it. Sorry for the crocked picture, I can't seem to take a straight picture these days.

Supply List: Patterned Paper: Basic Grey (Sweet Threads Collection); Chipboard Letters: American Crafts; Punches: Martha Stewart (butterfly), Marvy Uchida (banner); Gems: Mark Richards; Embroidery Floss: We R Memory Keepers; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Glue Dots; Sketch: One-Page Sketch #11 by Allison Davis for Sketch Support

And a detailed view of the banner. I used the Marvy Uchida banner punch to make this banner.

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Finally Here Layout

So today while the kids were playing, I finished this layout of Braiden. I can't believe I haven't scrapped these newborn pics of him yet. But I'm really glad to have it done now. I really like how this layout turned out. I hand cut the stars out of a sheet of patterned paper from the Lime Twist Collection by My Minds Eye. This is the sketch I used...

Happy Monday!

Good morning and Happy Monday! I hope everyone is well after the extremely hot and humid weekend. It doesn't look like this week is going to be any better either. I have a few projects to share with you today.

Here's the layout I made based on the above sketch:
Favorite Toy:

Supply List: Patterned Paper, Element Stickers, Journaling Spot: Echo Park; Chipboard Letters: Basic Grey (favorite), American Crafts (toy); Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Pop Dots by EK Success

I've had these pictures for quit some time. I remember how much Braiden loved playing with this ducky toy. My Aunt Geri gave it to him at his baby shower. I'm not sure what the fascination was, but he always gravitated toward that toy for a long time.

The next project is a card that I made for my nephew Derek. He turned 3 on Saturday. Happy Birthday Derek! I also made the same card for my Brother-in-Law Jason, his birthday was on Tuesday. Happy Birthday Jason! I haven't given Jason is card yet, so hopefully he doesn't see this post. :-)

And my card based on the above sketch:

Happy Birthday:
Supply List: Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned Paper: Basic Grey; Gems: Kaiser;
Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Well that's it for now. I hope everyone stays cool this week. It's going to be a scorcher.

One More Layout

Well after I posted yesterday, I completed another layout. This layout is of Braiden when he has almost 10 months old. I've been holding on to these pictures for a long time, so I'm glad I was finally able to scrapbook them. In a way it's nice that I'm so far behind in scrapbooking, then I can look at those cute baby pictures again. Or at least that's what I'm going to tell myself to feel better about being behind. :-) Anyway, back to the layout...I love this paper line from Echo Park Paper Co. It's called Little Boy. Those airplanes are just so darn cute, aren't they? I also really love that cloud punch from Fiskars. They come in different sizes, I only have the smaller size right know, but I would love to get a bigger one so I can layer them together.

Supply List: Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned Paper: Echo Park, BoBunny; Letter Stickers & Element Stickers: Echo Park Paper Co; Buttons: Basic Grey; Thread: We R Memory Keepers; Cloud Punch: Fiskars; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Glue Dots; Sketch: Becky Fleck for Page Maps

Thank for looking! Hopefully I can post more soon!

More Banners!

Hello Again! Sorry it's been so long since I have posted anything. The truth is that I've been out of adhesive and didn't make it down the the scrapbook store until this past weekend. So finally this morning, I finished this layout of my family at the Crow-Hassan Park Reserve (the pictures are from last May). As a child my parents would always take my sister and me there, we would be all decked out with our binoculars to watch the birds and other wildlife. So I was so happy to be able to take my own kids. The park has changed a lot since I was a kid, but it was still nice to take them there anyway. And how could I resist using a sketch with banners. They are a little time consuming... but I just love, love, love them.

Here's a look at the sketch I used, it's One-Page Sketch #8 by Allison Davis at Sketch Support.
